I'm Samantha Haatvedt and I am a 15 year old singer/songwriter/performer from Cottage Grove, MN.
I am also the Midwest CMO's youngest member and feel so honored to be a part of such a great community of artists. My passion for music came from my emersion in the country music scene at a very young age.  My dad owned a country bar/restaurant called Country Nites Saloon and that is where I first stepped on stage. I watched other artists perform there and I knew that that was something I wanted to do too.  I started learning songs, how to play the guitar, and even started writing songs of my own to perform on my dad's stage. I knew from the very first time on that stage that performing for others and sharing my music with the world was what I was meant to do. Country music was something I have grown up on and have always been around. Some of my musical inspirations are Carrie Underwood and a Country Nites Saloon local regular, Hailey James. I hope that much like my idols I can create music that others can relate to and enjoy as much as I do create and perform it!
